Social media hits Austin City Limits 2009

Something new but clearly not surprising hit this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Social media.

This was my first ACL, and it was remarkable how connected you could be with the festival. On every popular social media: Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, I was connected to their artist application or following them. I was able to be completely prepared for the festival, and I was able to snag $135 three-day passes two weeks prior to the already sold out festival because I was following them on Twitter, when they announced that they were planning to have this sale.

At the festival, every step and turn I was bombarded with requests to join social media outlets, which I've already done.
